Wanted ASP / SQL Programmer / IT Consultants Part Time / Full Time

Bharat Book Bureau is looking for Web Developer to work in its corporate headoffice in Mumbai. We are looking for competent professionals able to work both independently and collaboratively.

The Web Developer’s role is to build and maintain the organization’s web sites. This includes designing, building, and implementing new web pages and sites; integrating sites with back end applications; migrating legacy applications; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization’s web portfolio. Knowledge of a variety of web development languages is required.

Responsibilities

Conduct research into current and emerging web technologies and issues in support of web development efforts.
Identify, recommend, and prioritize new web features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers.
Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document web applications using appropriate editors.
Update web pages to ensure site accuracy and currency.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications and sites.
Work with database developer to design, develop, and update databases as they relate to web applications.
Ensure security of all web sites and related applications.
Perform periodic web site audits
Ability to create and maintain complex SQL data queries
Strong knowledge of ASP
Experience working with MS SQL Server 2005 and MS Windows Server 2003
Experience deploying and maintaining multiple database environments
Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project leads, developers, and other team members
Excellent documentation and organizational skills

Position Requirements

In-depth knowledge of web technologies, protocols.
Strong understanding of programming languages and tools, including ASP, ASP.NET, ADO, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS
Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
Comprehensive experience with structuring, developing, and implementing interactive corporate web sites.
Knowledge of database development
Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project leads, developers, and other team members
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Ability to conduct research into emerging Internet technologies and programming languages.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Highly self motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
